DREAMS [short essay.]

Today, I'm going to talk about dreams.
Someone once asked: What would you like to let go of, if you could only possess one of these things? Freedom? Or dreams?
And a very wise human answered: I would want to let go of my Freedom. Because as long as I have dreams I consider myself as free.

I'm Mari. I'm just a small girl with big dreams, and I share that opinion.
I dare to dream, even though my dreams are sometimes really scary. One of my wishes is to sing in front of a biiiiig audience once in my whole life. Though, if someone asked me to sing in front of the class I'd be scared as hell and would have to think about it really hard. I'd say yes though, even when I am scared. There's a wise saying that goes like this: If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough.
Dreams are wagers. They're not called dreams because they're something very daily like breathing.
You think there's probably no person in the world that would say: My dream is to say "Hello" to someone. Really? Think about it another time. Could there be a human that hasn't ever been able to say "hello" with his own voice? Sad as it is, there are humans like these.
For them, the thought of being able to talk freely is a luxury, but also scary. They DON'T KNOW what it's like to talk.
This is just an example.
You could also say: "My dream is to fly." But at the same time, you would probably be scared of flying.
Any bird that is capable of flying would tell you it's very easy, just like breathing. Instead, they would say: "Walking? That's...scary! I don't know how to!"
What I am trying to explain is that even the simplest thing can be a dream for someone. A dream is something we hope to achieve, or hope to experience another time. It's something that is probably not in our reach without us working hard for it.
My own list of dreams. It continues to up to 100 dreams.
I want to sing before an audience. But if I don't take up the courage, I won't be able to. But if I hole myelf up at home I won't get that chance. But if I never want to use my voice, or am not able to, that won't be possible.
Dreams have to be scary. They have to be scary and big and a wager so we think about how we can get stronger, better, more achieving to reach our dream. Dreams guide us.
People without dreams aren't free. In my opinion they are humans, but they don't live.
Everyone needs a dream, so he can continue to work on himself and grow bit by bit.
Dreams and Longings were what made our world like this. Even our primordial human beings worked like that: They had desires and dreams, like wanting to be warm when they slept. So they invented fires, they discovered fabrics and made sheets.
Dreams made us develop to the kind of humans we are today. Without them, no one knows where we would be today.

Everyone needs a dream.
For me, I wrote down a whole bunch of things I want to achieve until the point of time when my being has reached it's end. So what about you?
Do you have a dream?
